From July 1 2007, all new employees between the ages of 18 and 65 years will be automatically enrolled with KiwiSaver.

Existing employees under the age of 65 years can elect to enrol with KiwiSaver.

Employees can choose to join either their own choice of a KiwiSaver scheme or their employer's chosen scheme. If no choice is made the Government will allocate an employee to one of the six default providers.
